Editorial Policy

How DLJ - Digi Law Journal sources, prepares and corrects what it publishes.

Sources

We publish judgments from the official websites and records of the Supreme Court of India and the High Courts. Each judgment page links to the court's own copy, and that copy is the authoritative text.

Head notes

Head notes are prepared with the help of AI tools from the text of the judgment itself. They are a reading aid that summarises the facts, issue, holding and reasoning. They are not a substitute for the judgment: always read the full judgment before relying on it.

News stories

Most news stories are written automatically with the help of AI from the judgment's head note and published under the Digi Law News Desk byline. A story published under a person's name is written or edited by that person. Every story carries its publication date and links to the judgment it reports, and the court's own copy of the judgment remains the authoritative text. Stories report what the court decided; they are not legal advice.

Accuracy and corrections

We aim to report every ruling accurately. If you spot an error, email dailylawai@gmail.com. We check the report against the judgment and correct it promptly, noting significant corrections on the story.

Not legal advice

Nothing published on DLJ is legal advice. For advice on a particular matter, consult an advocate.
